Who we are
An established centre for vocational training and assessment
London Paragon College is an independent training and examination centre on Acton High Street, delivering short, flexible and affordable courses to adults and school students across West London.
We provide practical support from application through to qualification, whether that means licensing a private hire driver, achieving the English and Maths a career requires, or gaining a construction qualification through workplace assessment.
Recognised qualifications
Delivered as an approved centre for Trinity College London, NCFE, ProQual AB, Edexcel and Pearson.

PCO and Taxi Driver Training
Preparation for all TfL private hire assessments, together with support for new licence applications and renewals. Topographical Skills, SERU and the Speaking and Listening test.

Practical qualifications in English, Maths and Digital Skills from Entry Level 1 to Level 2. Accepted in place of a GCSE grade 4 by most employers, universities and training providers. Taught and examined here in Acton.

Applying for or renewing a private hire driver licence?
Transport for London requires applicants to demonstrate English language competence and an understanding of the standards expected of a licensed driver. We have supported drivers through these requirements since the English Language Requirement was introduced in October 2016.

Map reading, route planning and compass work, assessed under examination conditions.
SERU
Safety, Equality and Regulatory Understanding. Also assesses reading and writing English.
Speaking and Listening
The spoken element of the English Language Requirement, taken at an approved assessment centre.

Where is the college located?
Swarn House, 300 High Street, Acton, London W3 9BJ. We are situated on Acton High Street, within reach of Acton Town, Acton Central and Ealing Common stations, and several bus routes.
What are your opening hours?
The centre is open six days a week from 10:00 to 17:00 and is closed on Fridays and bank holidays. Certain classes are timetabled outside these hours.
Do I have to pay the full fee in advance?
Fees vary between courses. Depending on the course or service you require, we can arrange a payment plan to suit your circumstances. Please discuss this with us at enrolment.
Can you book my official examination?
Yes. We book the examination for all of our courses at no additional cost when you enrol with us.
How are classes delivered?
Depending on the qualification, we deliver face to face at our centre, on a hybrid basis, or fully online. We will confirm the options available for your course.
