Construction NVQs and Green CSCS Training
Construction NVQs delivered through workplace and on-site assessment for experienced workers, and Green CSCS training for new entrants to the industry.
Qualification levels
We deliver Construction NVQs from Level 1 through to Level 7, covering roles from operative level to senior management. The appropriate level depends on your trade and your responsibilities on site, and determines which CSCS card you are eligible to hold.

Workplace and on-site assessment
Construction NVQs are competence based qualifications. Rather than attending a classroom, you are assessed carrying out your normal duties. Our assessor attends your site, observes your work, gathers the required evidence and compiles your portfolio with you. There is no need to take time away from employment.

Green CSCS training for new entrants
For those entering the construction industry, we deliver the training, the examination and the card application at our centre for a single fee of £350. Resits are included.
London Paragon College is a ProQual approved centre. Our Construction NVQs are awarded by ProQual AB Limited and our approval is current.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does an NVQ take to complete?
This depends on the level and on how quickly the required evidence can be gathered at your place of work. Contact us with your trade and role and we will provide a realistic timescale.
Do I need to take time off work?
No. Assessment takes place at your site while you carry out your normal duties.
Does the Green CSCS fee include everything?
Yes. The fee of £350 covers training, the examination, any resits and the card.
Can the fee be paid in instalments?
For Construction NVQs we can generally arrange a deposit with the balance payable in instalments. Please discuss this at enrolment.
Which CSCS card will my NVQ qualify me for?
This depends on the level and the qualification completed. Tell us your trade and we will confirm the card before you enrol.
